Farm Hand/Worker - 2 Positions Available - Full Time Seasonal, Starting April 26 2021, Max. 40 hrs/week, $15-$20/hr Depending On Experience
Looking for two young people ages 15 to 30 years who qualify for the Canada Summer Jobs Program 2021.
Ideal applicants will be experienced, reliable, hard working individuals who enjoy working outdoors in a farm environment in all weather. Must be able to work independantly and in teams, work responsibly and in a safe manner at all times. Must be able to take written and verbal instructions. Employees will be expected to use appropriate PPE, use hand and power tools, farm tractors and attachments, powered machinery, utility vehicles, zero turn mowers, gas powered trimmers, perform regular equipment maintenance, operate chipper shredders, earth augers, install fencing, mixing concrete, operate chain saws, pruning equipment, weeding, grass cutting, tree and land clearing, hand digging, rock picking, seed bed preparation, transplanting, landscaping dutes, manage open fires. This is a physical job. Employees must be able to lift heavy loads repeatedly. Must have own safety boots and reliable transportation as no local public transportion is available. Must be able to complete questionnaires and forms as required by CSJ 2021.
Employer is willing to provide hands on, on the job training to inexperienced individuals able to demonstrate initiative.
Pay for experienced employees will be $20.00 per hour bi-weekly, inexperienced employees will be paid $15.00 per hour bi-weekly. Working hours are regular weekdays Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm with no overtime or weekend work.
